I happened to be in my local Ducati dealership (Richmond Motor Sports) a month ago when a lucky beggar was taking delivery of his new white 848. The bike had just returned from being shipped to a custom shop in California who did all sorts of neat (and not so neat) stuff to the bike, like chroming the rims and other items, and a custom exhaust.
The Sales guy started the bike up in the showroom and revved it a couple of times.
The world stood still for 30 seconds until he switched it off. :Flash:

Yeah like reiobard said, you would have to be out of your mind to own a motorcycle with one headlight out! People would always be telling you that your headlight was out & stuff. It would be annoying! ;)

Only issue is that it has a headlight out...:ban:

This calls for a dual-headlamp mod (Ducati Style). :spank:

I think that's for the 1098R (or race version).

The regular version is only like $20K or something.

You get to pick, buy a decent car or buy a Ducati 1098.

The car will cost you much less in maintenance I am sure!

It has adjustable traction control on it!

For what it's worth I think the newer Ducs a the best damn looking bikes out there. They look like a RACE bike to me. Now that said I don't think I want the bills and the sore wrists than come a standard features on it...I'm old...I guess.

But damn, they are good looking!

My very favorite Duc is the 1986 F1 in the Italian colors. When I was racing there were a pair of Dr.s, probably in their mid-40's, who came to race their F1s just for fun. They had all the toys, big motorhomes, tool trailers, big tents and the cool F1s in a line on pretty mats. Very nice guys too. They weren't the fastest but they had FUN!
