it looks chinese. The Name Benelli is a gun maker though, kinda odd for them to dabble in the motorcycle market if thats the case.

EDIT: well google found out that benelli does in fact make bikes, since the 1970s. Heres a website: http://www.benelli.com.au/products/nakedtre1130.html
Both benelli the gun mfg and the bike mfg are italian so it very well could be the same company.

I've had the chance to ride one of these beasts. Nice looking, but they aren't the most practical. Build quality is lacking and the gas mileage is about the same as a half ton truck... Handle amazing and the engine rocks though. If they were to have a wider dealer network and a bit better quality they could be a nice ride.

Both benelli the gun mfg and the bike mfg are italian so it very well could be the same company.

Benelli made bikes long before the 1970's. They raced a 500cc 4 cylinder race bike in the World Grand Prix during the 60's against Hailwood's Honda and Agostini's MV, with the late, great Renzo Pasolini as their main rider (Kel Carruthers was the other).
