'been shopping around for almost a year & 1/2 for a Yamaha FZ6R and/or a Kawasaki 650R before I finally took home a new Yamaha FZ6 on 02/23/2011. While doing the shopping around for the best deal I could get, I was also buying all the gears that I would need to ride. Helmets, Jackets, Gloves, Tank Bag, Pants, Backpacks, knee/shin guards etc.
Just this month, we went to a Casino here in Placerville, Ca. and as usual, I only play the Penny ( .01 cent ). I'm not a high roller gambler as you can see.
We went in , went our separate ways to play. So, I put in my first $20.00 was playing for less than 10 minutes on this penny slot machine with a maximum bet of $1.50, and behold, on the 3rd try, after playing $4.75 out of my $20.00, I hit a Jackpot of more than $7,500.00. The first thing that pop was, I can now pay cash for a bike.....yoooohhhooooooo!
So, the following week (Tuesday), I saw this 2009 Blue Yamaha FZ6 and paid cash for it for $6400.00 OTD. They didn't have any FZ6R in stock...but they had a 2011 FZ8, which was more than what I want to spend.
So, for me, at least, I only spent $ 4.75 cents out of my own pocket for a brand new 2009 Yamaha FZ6:steve::steve::steve:

Thanks very much. I will enjoy this bike, but for the time being, I'm still trying to get used to riding again, on a street bike. I'm also still in that stage of trying to get to know her (FZ6) better. The way she moves, handles, and how she purrs.
how come it feels like the gears are really short? We'll see after the break-in period, bec. right now I'm in or below the 4K range rpm.

Good thing you had the smarts to bet maximum coins! You would be hating life if you didn't.

I can recall a couple of months ago a woman was playing the Megabucks machine, and hit the jackpot. One problem, she only played one coin ($1) instead of the max $3. She hit for $10,000. For another $2, she would have won over $12 Million Dollars! Tell me if that wasn't a life changing mistake on her part?

How can you call winning $10,000 a mistake?!?!

Believe me, I've had my share of this incidents. But, then again, I only play the penny slots most of the time. So, to those who play the slots, always play the maximum bet....you'll never know.

$10,000 versus $12 million for an extra $2. You're right, not a mistake, it's called STUPIDITY!

Winning $10k is really not a life changing figure, but $12 Million? I bet that woman still is thinking the samething.
