I think we need to add some of those to our fleet of training bikes.
LOL...it wasn't really a controlled range, lots of parked vehicles. I thought they were going to show the guy target fixate, panic and slam into one of the cars.

slightly upsetting watching what is probably a brand new monster get dropped by that idiot

I have to say, when I was thinking about starting to ride, if a Ducati rep said: "Come try and learn on my bike, I dont care if it goes down or not." I would have taken up the offer. But now, I just see the bike on its side and my stomach cringes....

People are stupid even without a free bike offered to them. When I was taking my MSF course, the guy sitting next to me was telling me how he was going to buy a 1098 after he gets his certificate. We were in the classroom part, learning about the basics (well, I already knew how to ride at that point but the guy was throwing a leg for the first time that weekend 
) so I couldnt believe my ears but I played it cool and I said something like " Oh really, thats an awesome bike, how cool " while I was trying to find the best words to describe this guy to my friends that night. I was in a loss of words because I didnt know what SQUID meant back then

I've dropped multiple bikes, some at a stop, another at 60 mph. It happens, its a learning proccess, I thought the video was kinda cool. Get more people interested in motorcycling.

Ducati's are really hard to ride. My brother has an 696 monster. And it looks nice, but it is a pain in the ass to ride for me. The seating position is awfull and it really doesn't run smooth. You need to apply some trottle to take off because under 3000rpm it shakes like hell. Handling is very good though, but I constantly have the feeling that the bike is to small for me. With the monster it is really hard to maintain a constant speed. With a 4 cilinder bike that is really easy, you just keep your hand steady, but a ducati... If you ride slow with a ducati it is really hard. If you go faster it rides a lot better. I think that a lot of people think they want a ducati, but if they eventually get to ride one for more that 15 minutes, they will think otherwise. The first minutes you will think: damn, this is what I want, it has so much sensation etc...(sound, character...) but after that you want your fz6 back. 
The monster is the opposite of a fz6 because the fz6 does it all, the monster is very concentrated. It is a bike to pose with and to run for very short rides.
This is my opinion of the monster after about 1000km of riding with it.
My advice to ducati: please get the seating position right, it is just rediculous now....

not had a chance to ride one yet, but sitting on them they seem the most comfortable things in the world, seat height, foot position, and bars seemed perfect for me
i think the monster is best described as a "hooligans bike", you don't buy one for the practicality or to go around sedately
