Someone else on the board did this. I think he also changed his gauges to be a different color. Looked bada$$

In all honesty I can't see the need for a gear indicator
I haven't got one on my car and I've never found myself wanting one either.
I've yet to lock up,or not had the power for an overtake due to being in the wrong gear.

To me it's like having an audible alarm to tell me I've got my indicator on.....

Yea I'm of the same mind, just a matter of keeping count mentally, its second nature now, and I can tell just by my revs/speed if I lose count.

Once I memorized rpm/speed combos of 6th gear I stopped having problems hunting for 7th.

Same here.

The Neutral light is enough to check to see if I'm in first at a stop. Other than that, engine speed dictates up or down shifting. And I get that from the exhaust tone.
