Funnily enough there was a bit on breakfast TV this morning about how different the Australian cricket ball is to the English ball............. sounded very much to me like we're making excuses already!

The Aussie prees has been playing up the Poms chances, in light of Australia's indifferent form of late! But this is the Ashes....the Aussies will take no prisoners, and push the Poms aside to win 5 nil!

If i am wrong, so be it! i will be the first to congratulate the mother country on their victories...but not likely...we are on home soil, on pitches that dont take reverse swing, and we are playing with a ball that actually bounces!

My personal hope for the series, is the dismantling of the great pretender....Kevin Peiterson...head case of the worst order IMHO, and he deserves nothing less than a dressing down!

I agree. Only the English should be allowed to play for England, same for all countries. None of this bollocks about "my great grandad was English so I can play for England although my dad was a Kiwi and I was born in South Africa" ...... but if you're born in Shrewsbury hospital of Welsh parents are you English or Welsh? Or if you're born in India of English parents?
