So after getting my suspension sorted out today, I was doing a pre-ride check and noticed my left side frame slider was loose. I thought it was strange since I had locktited that bolt when I put it in last year. Anyways I went to go tighten it back down and it just spun. Great. So turns out the thread in the bolt hole came off into the threads on the bolt. I was able to get it tightened down by taking a washer off the inside of the slider, effectively making the bolt longer and reaching the threads further down the hole. What can I do to fix this? It looks like it goes through the engine cover into something else, hopefully not the fram. Best bet to tap and oversize bolt it, or are the threads in something removable back there?

its just a heli-coil from what it sounds like. Try taking it to a mechanic and see if they can replace the heli-coil. shouldn't be too expensive. I had to have this done to a motor mount on my car before.
