Stock exhaust story...

I work in an office park and every Wednesday in the summer there is a concert at our amphitheater. We get some bands I love (Umphree's McGee, Government Mule, Yonder Mountain String Band..) and some other bands (last night was Gin Blossoms and Live.)

Anyway, a good portion of our parking lot is used for Event Parking. As I was rolling out of the lot after work yesterday, I came to a stop next to a cop who standing next to his BMW Police Bike. Damn nice bike btw... A little big for my taste, but nice. He turned to me and said "You wanna turn that thing on?" hehe.. Cracked me up. Talk about stealth.

The only feature that I didn't like on my FZ6 right from the start was the cheesy plastic "exhaust" covers. I was determined to change that as soon as possible, and did so with a set of carbon fiber Scorpions, which have improved both the appearance and sound of the bike to my satisfaction.
Bikes are a very personal thing, and there's not many of us that don't "customize" our bikes in some way or another. It's a bit of the "rebel" in us, which is what drove us to ride bikes in the first place.

Not sure why anyone would spend $500+ on an after market exhaust system just make your bike annoyingly louder? Hell, just give me a drill and I'll do it for free...:thumbup:... I know, I know that amazing 1 or 2 hp gain.....

So how much did you spend on those sunglasses (Oakleys?) in your avatar?

hey Wolfman, let (us) know how that exhaust mod turns out! post a video or audio clip if you can.. i've been thinking about doing the same mod, but i'd like to know how much of a difference it would make before tearing up my stock exhaust.
