Hello everybody,
After seeing lazamus69's spiked radiator grill, ( http://www.600riders.com/forum/fz6-general-discussion/41287-retired-heavy-pic-thread.html ) I decided to do mine also.
The spikes where 6€ for 24 pieces. I baught them in a sports-shop called "Decathlon" and they are used for running on sand or something. (i'm no specialist in running sports)
So I measured and drilles some holes in the radiator plastic, and just screwed them in. There is thread on the spikes, so it's easy to install them.
No need to screw it down because the plastic does not get soft when hot. (special temperature resistant yamaha plastik i think)
went for a slow town testride, and everything stayed in place, nothing loose, i'm happy.
