Speedometer question

does anyone know if the 09 fz6r speedometer will fit a 07-09 fz6 setup? they look very similar in shape but I noticed parts #'s are different

I'm pretty sure the speedo would "fit" in the place that the original FZ6 speedo goes (the FZ1 speedo also has a very similar shape), but the question is whether or not it would work.

The engine and the other electrics on the FZ6R are all different, so I'd be surprised if it was just plug and play. I'm sure you could make it work somehow, but I'm pretty sure it would be more difficult than just taking the original out and connecting the FZ6R one up.
