Get Out & Ride!
Hello fellow FZ6ers... Forgive me for most likely posting an issue that has been addressed before but I did a forum search on the subject with no result.
A few months ago the back light on my speedo would start to flicker anytime I would start riding hard (100mph+). As time went on it started flickering more often and at much slower speeds (30-40mph). Now the back light basically won't come on at all with the exception of it flickering on for about 2 seconds until I hit another bump in the road and goes out again. This led me to believe that I obviously have something loose in the wiring or something back there. So I stripped the ol' girl down and I don't see anything loose in the wiring at all. The unit itself is sealed up so I didn't know if I should crack it open and try to mess with it, didn't seem like a good idea to me. I should definitely point out that the speedo itself works perfectly other than the back light, so this isn't a issue during the day, but it's a real P.O.A. not having the light work at night.
Thank you to anyone who took the time to read this and I appreciate any & all advice given, even if it's sarcastic... I love a good laugh
