hey guys i have something really wierd happen like 3 times now, when i brake a little hard the bike turns off....what i do is i brake and at the same time i disengage the cluctch (in) am i doing something wrong or do i have to check for some sort of electrical problem with the brake ?

thanks in advance

The idle rpms is the first thing that came to my mind too. Is the bike still covered by warranty? If so have the dealer check into it (if it's not the rpms).

could it be spark plugs? or a cat in your airbox restricting airflow? I`d check all of the above before having to deal with a dealer :)

1) What model year is the bike?
2) How many miles on the bike?
2) What's the idle rpm set at?
3) Does it happen when the bike is cold or hot?
4) Do you get gas from the same station?
5) Has the tank been lifted?
6) Are all the vent tubes routed correctly?

Are you sure you're not just stalling the bike by not fully pulling in the clutch? Or are you saying the bike completely shuts off like as if you turned it off with the key?

are you bumping the shut off switch? I have had one person call me, ask me to come help them, get there the bike is apart, and all it was is the shut off switch.

thanks to everybody for the imput to the thread...problem fixed...idle was 850-910, took it up to 1200-1250, took my baby (FZ6) jejje for a test drive and now is shes sweet again.
