I am a newer member but I'd be interested in a shirt since I spend alot of time reading and tinkering with my bike. I ride a silver 05, but I was thinking what might look cool is if the picture on the back wasn't an actual picture of the bike but maybe a hand drawn outline or something less cheesy than a colored iron on pic. Just for a quick reference everyone is somewhat familiar with, how Infinity has a really simple outline of the body curves in their cars in the commercials or how Orange County Choppers has the OCC looking like a motorcycle (obviously not to copy them but just for a reference).

The colors of the bike can still change with the printer so you can "customize" it but it could look really slick if the design is right.

I used to work in a screen printing place and this was how our pricing went.
Screen: (this is the actual print for one side of a shirt ie; Fz6-forum or yamaha logo) $25.00
Set up fee: (every time you change color or the first initial color) ~$5.00
Ink: $1.00 per shirt per side or screen
Shirts: range from $2.00 (white basic tee) to $8.00 (long sleeve cotton tee)

So if you had two logos (yamaha on fron and an fz6 on the back that is $50.00
say we got 50 shirts @ $5.00 = $250.00
I would suggest only black and white ink to keep set up fees down and use different color shirts. So two set up fees =$10.00
Ink for these shirts is $100.00 ($1.00 for front and $1.00 for back)
Your total is $410.00 and that boils down to $8.20 a shirt. if you are getting charged $16.00 per shirt you may be getting ripped off. See if you can get a breakdown of how they are charging you and let us know and I will see if it seems a little high.


Also remeber I worked there over 5 years ago so prices may be a little higher now. and I was ballparking some of the figures (prices on shirts) but I do remeber having a deal where if a customer bought 32 one sided white shirts, they worked out to $4.00 a piece so we may be able to get a better deal if we shop around. But selling the shirts for $16.00 a piece is either too expensive or a nice markup for the seller.

hey madman if you could do better then do it, i want to save money, so if you can get it cheaper jump in. They said to me for $15.95 we get a T-shirt (short sleeve), white with black lettering, YAMAHA logo on left chest, on the back, FZ6-FORUM.COM on the back collar, and the FZ6 bike in Blue, Red, Grey. As far as shipping i have no clue yet, i just wanted to see if people are interested. O and that was based on 20 T-shirts.

if anyone wants one just say yes and the color you would like, the colors are-
team Yamaha blue, red, silver everything else will be black, like the Yamaha logo, and the FZ6-FORUM.COM. Ounce i have 20 who are interested i will go get a final price, ask how long it will take. Then i will find out about shipping cost. I am going to buy 4 shirts, 1 in each color so i can show you all, i will post a picture so you can see what it looks like. After that i will take orders and give you my PAYPAL info.
Until then i should have the shirts by the 16th of January.
If some one thinks they can do better in prices jump in. Till then have a great new year.

I like the outline idea - could be really cool if drawn right. Anybody out there with the talent to line draw a "generic" FZ6?

well we have two options... either draw one.. which i will attempt to.. never drawn a bike but i have to wait till early next week before i get back to my studio... or option 2... get a side view of anybike and have someone photoshop it so it looks liek a line drawing or can even go a little abstractish... jsut an idea.. what you all think?

FZ6 in silver

here are the 3 colors, i am having trouble flipping the silver to match the blue and red. So are these pic's OK for the shirt, the silver is the only one that i am having a problem with. When i go the the T-shirt place i will see if he could flip it, if not is it OK the way it is facing.

FZ6 in silver

you know the silver .... sort of... looks like white? with all three bikes up here it looks really patriotic to me... brings a tear to my eye to see think about two things i love at once. America and the FZ6

when i go to the store i will ask them to make sure the silver stands out.
