New to this site. I need to know how far you can move your shifter up/down before it will have taken-up the freeplay and start to change into the next gear? I feel the shifter moves too far before it will actually shift. I have an 06 FZ-6 with 8,000K. I checked my 04 V-Max and 08 700 Raptor, they are all diferent in the travel befor you feel resistance and are actually shifting. The shift linkage is all correct with no free-play. The play is in the inside of the transmission. Maybe this is normal and I'm too picky.
