Sail 2008 Tall ships race

Here is a link to the tall ships race, finishing up in Den Helder, Holland (where I work) on 20th August with a 3 day festival: Tall ships race I know this has nothing to do with bikes but I'm really looking forward to it, as most of the big ships will be berthed in the Naval dockyard.
Not all of the site is translated so if you click on the "Deze schepen komen naar Den Helder (klik hier)" you can see the ships taking part.
I know this isn't everybodies cup of tea, but whatever floats your boat I say

Today the first ships arrived, tomorrow the rest will be paraded in.

Today the rest of the ships came in, and there was one heck of a buzz around town. There were so many ships of all sizes, you could go aboard most of them. They had 3 stages with different acts, ranging from Pop music to the Marines band and a kiddies act. Unfortunately it was still gray for most of the day but it's forcast to brighten up for the weekend.

Well today we got sent home at 1400 for all our help in this event, so that we could go to it (I had already been on Wednesday, so I went home early :cheer. Anyway the tall ships are all leaving tomorrow, so things should be a bit quieter next week.
