Running warm/hot

Lately I have been noticing that my 07' is running rather warm...at least I think so...last night on my way home when it was about 65 out side it runs around 190-210.....on warm days it doesn't get below 190-220....seems warm for me......should I take in to get looked at? I know they handle up to 240-260 but...still..

Just one data point ... cruising at 65F outside temperature, my bike will indicate about 168F at 55 mph reving between 5 and 6k. I believe this will be a function of all these factors plus the oil grade/type, plus the state of coolant. You should check the radiator fluid quality and keep an eye on temperature. If these temperatures are higher than you've typically seen, maybe I would be a little more concerned.

thats what im thinking..it is running warmer than normal.... i better check the fluids

Check your coolant and see how many balls it will float using a tester. If its older than 2-3 years, it's time to replace it.

Also, check your radiator for bugs and debris. The radiator on the FZ6 is fairly small, and it does not take many dead bugs to lower it's cooling efficiency. The bugs get stuck in the cooling fins and prevent air from exchanging heat with the tubes inside. Use a brush, compressed air, or a pressure washer (be very careful) to clean the debris out.

+1..... backflush the fins using a garden hose sprayer.
