Hey guys, I'm new here, just bought a 2008 FZ6 for my first bike about a month ago, it's really scary fast, yada yada yada. I'd really like to see what it can do on a racetrack, and I've seen other's posts regarding this...I'm wandering tho, how do I get to ride on a racetrack? Is it expensive? Can I stay in 3rd gear? Joking. Please help.

find out what your local track is and call them for details

typically:

1) roll of painter's tape
2) coolant flushed and distilled water in
3) trackday fees
4) proper gear

then, you can take it as slow as you like....case in point:

:p

I was a bit quicker here:

^yeah best to get set up right the first time. the better set up you are the easier it is to do more and more and more of them.....which is sorta the point.

I didn't get set up properly until this year and have a much more reliable schedule of trackdays this season finally. had only done one in the three years previous. i expect to average 2 a month this season.
