R6 vs. Fz6 wheels and rear axle diameter

Are the wheels the same on both bikes? Reason I ask is that I bought a set of 2009? FZ6 wheels but the axle diameter in the rear seems a lot smaller than on a R6.

Can it be fixed but swapping the bearings?

WHat about the cush drive.
