R6 Forks

I am curious if R6 forks fit on the fz6, how hard it would be to make them fit, and how the bike would handle if they do.

Lots of information on here about R6 fork conversions. Quite a few have done it. Try the search function

It depends on which R6 forks you're talking about. If you mean R6 USD (upside down) forks, it would take a LOT of modification. But if you're talking about R6S forks, they're a bolt-on mod (of course, you'll also need the spacer kit, but you'll realize that when reading through some of the R6 fork mod threads here).

You'll notice at the top of that last thread it mentions not to do the mod until you can source the shims I spoke of earlier. That's the one hitch to doing this mod now. Unless you can come up with the necessary shims, you can't do it (and I'm not sure where you could get them from at this point).

If someone needs the info to have a set made up, email me @ [email protected] and i'll send you all the info you'll need to have the spacers made up at a machine shop... This is a very popular mod but as stated, no one sells a spacer "kit" and the few that have tried recently have found that its kinda expensive to have the kits made up and then make a profit from them.. from what i gatehr, its anywhere from $50-$100 to get the spacer kit together (depending on your local machine shops)
