Pillion? No Insurance Then.

This is the first time I have heard of this anywhere. UK insurance companies are refusing to insure bikers who carry passengers.

Thats right up there with my insurance company dropping me when they told me I could not store or keep my boat within 5 miles of water........UMMMM, OK!
I happened to live about 5 miles away from work (CG) and 6 blocks from Delaware Bay, SO I dropped that company and went with USAA.

I have been asked the question when applying for new insurance but not had it refused for an FZ6

Bennets quoted my £350 fully comp automatic renewal- I went on comparison sites and found Bennets was cheapest for me at £150- I phoned them- they cancelled the renewal and gave me the Internet quote policy- but why couldnt they have done that in the first place- did they not want my repeat business?

Perhaps they thought I wouldnt notice!

I'm not covered for pillion insurance on my bike. I removed the option though to save a few quid. My gf says it's too scary on the back so I removed the pegs and got a seat cowl! :spank: It's worth checking if removing it saves you some cash when getting quotes if you never use it.
