Just picked up my brand used 2007 fz6. Getting my endorsement tomorrow and already planning to go eat up the open roads.

They look like just your average aftermarket foam grips. I thought the throttle cable was sticking, but it turned out the foam grips were too long and restricted movement. So I cut off the extra length for safety sake.

You know what? I never noticed that was a mod until you mentioned it. Good eyes!
The person I bought it from had purchased it at auction. Apparently it had been a repo.
I wonder if there are other mods.

looks like the rear fender has been cut down so it doesnt hang below your number plate
