Hi Guys,

As it says in the manual to use Kerosene (Paraffin for us in the UK) to clean the chain, where do you guys buy yours if you use it please?

Regards

note too sure about where you are but down in the british outback of devon practically every petrol station sells it off the pump for about 50-65p per litre.

You could try a local garden centre, or somewhere like B&Q... Patio heaters drink the stuff!

That's one of the easiest ways to get it. We can buy it by the gallon at hardware stores (for heaters and such), or some gas stations have a pump for it.

Most hardware stores and even some grocery stores will sell Kerosene/ paraffin in a sealed jug.

If you cannot locate it that way, check the barbeque section and you'll find quart or liter containers of charcoal lighter fluid. It's basically on odorless version of Kerosene that will clean your chain just as well.

Hi Guys,

Thanks, I've checked B&Q's website and they do a 4 litre container so that should last a good while.

I use red diesel from the garage or heating oil out of my tank and clean it and lube it well after

Wait, if you call it paraffin, what do you call the stuff candle wax is made of?
