Painted My Windshield!!!

Hey peeps,

So today it was nice weather but for some reason i decided to work on my bike first than ride it.

I also decided to go ahead and paint my windshield.

What a change... I've seen other member's painted windshield and saw how awsome it looked. Some had all black and others had the black with light gray.

I took the harder style to do with the dual color. It pretty much took me all day with taping and masking and painting then redoing it...letting it dry .. so on so forth...


My brother has a printing company in which they print a variety of things.
so my next mod is to put a vinyl decal on the inside of my windshield of something cool... and then finally get some cool looking yamaha decals around the bike...

I'm not sure if he can or will... but if anyone would like something done.. let me know and i can ask him....

Ight.. i'll post pics later.. i'm just so happy how the windshield turned out...

To answer someone's question, No.. you cannot see through it. I knew i wouldnt be able too and it didnt bother me. Than after doing it. I realized my camera wouldn't be able to record anything! So i'm a bit mad at that but that wont stop me from mounting the camera on the side.

To reply to someone's statement:
I can see how painted windshields can come out ugly. So i really took my time with this one. Pretty much a total of 4 -5hrs including dry time. The most annoying thing was taping off everything straight to get great lines. Then, with the pin striping... you're gonna need a steady hand.

I'm glad people found this to be different and great... If anyone ever plans on doing this, let me know and i can certainly help you out! Just prepare to schedule some time...

Also, I will be adding one more thing to this little mod... The Plastic black radiator cover... I'm thinking if I should change it to Red or The Satin Gray color of the windshield.. What r your thoughts..
