In each case, the letter indicates the first letter of the country in question, the number represents the number of letters in the country.
For example, E7 would be England.

Not that it matters, but would you have taken South Africa for S11? It uses 11 letters, and a space which is not a letter....

(That's what I had on my attempt in addition to Fiji, Finland, Japan and Zambia. I had no clue on the others so I gave up and used the internet to find the answers, then went "D'oh!" as I found each one.)
