I had Powerbronze full fairings fitted to my FZ6, but recently an idle drop in my garden (on grass) managed to create hairline cracks on them.
Sadly I never had my sliders (bungs) fitted to prevent this. Silly me, but lets not cry over spilt milk.

So anyway I've been looking at belly pans as a cheaper replacement. As a plus they work happily with crash bungs. But also I thought maybe it would help with engine heat.
I ride in the city a lot and my temp is often around 100 until I get moving from the lights again. Would the full fairings of contributed to this temp a lot?

These pictures actually make it looks worse than it actually is

I had a spill almost 2 weeks ago where my Powerbronze fairing was damaged. I've been riding without it since then and have not noticed a difference in heat. I have however noticed a difference in the way the bike reacted to wind. It seemed smoother at higher speeds with the fairing on.

I ordered a new fairing for mine last week (they were having a 20% off sale), but they are closed for the first 2 weeks in August so I know I won't see it for a while.

That looks like it could be repaired. Fiberglass is easy to do repairs to, and in the pics it hasn't cracked all out. Get a kit like [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Fiberglass-Repair-Kit-small-420/dp/B0002JM8NQ"]THIS[/ame] and a cuto mix the resin and a disposable paintbrush. A couple hours later and you'd be set.
