I took the bike out for the first run of the nice spring, ended in a "duh" moment. 1/4 mile from the house, turning into the neighborhood, I get a little too close to the edge of the road and end up falling off the first layer of asphalt. I almost saved it, but fell over at about 10mph. Now I need a new cowling and stay. What an expensive mistake! Anyone know where the least expensive web retailer to get this from is? What about going naked, how would I pull that off?

Its not cheaper to go naked. Its more a want to go naked thing.

Bummer that happened. It will fix up though, no problems.

Welcome to the forum Renae. Sorry about your drop, that sux :(

I don't know if you could find one, but a salvage may be a good alternative. Being that yours is a 2008, OEM might be expensive no matter where you go.

BTW, if you are going to go naked, pulling it off is the first step...:D

Got my stuff all fixed up, and I've been riding. Now I'm a little more careful and appreciative of my blue baby.

Welcome back!

Did you get any pics of the damage and some after-shots?

Glad you're back on 2 wheels!
