Now that looks like a lot of fun! Hope the end wasn't too painful though. Might have to try that someday - off road riding is intense.

I went unconcious at the end, but I got myself up and was picking the bike up before the track workers got to me. I was on the FZ6 the next day on a 400km trip to Quebec, so I wasn't too hurt!
Give it a shot, it's how I started and I LOVE it. The skills you learn on dirt make you a much safer and more capable rider on the street... Just look at the things you have to dodge in very little space and time.
Also, the street bike helps with the dirt stuff too, I can now brake later for a sharp turn after a nice long stretch because the street bike has taught me a few things including looking up through the corners further.
