Newbie needing some help!!!

Just recently purchased my first bike, been riding my roomates Suzukie TL-1000 for about 2 years, and decided couldnt pass the price or just the functionality of the FZ6... I only have one thing I need.. My bike compared to his sounds like a scooter, need some kind of inexpensive resolution to this issue... Any and all help appreciated.

Higher RPMs! Stock exhaust gets really nice and throaty around 8 grand and up....

Well, I am not a big fan of just running straight pipes or drilling, hacking or slashing the OEM exhaust (both options that you can learn more about by doing a search), so my best advice is to check out this thread: http://www.600riders.com/forum/australia/29483-find-ben-good-cheap-exhaust-thread.html

Well said....The stock exhaust does get louder above 8K! The bike really begins to wake up as well above 8K...Very fun to ride!!
You can usually find a used set of slip-ons on this forum for under $300..I picked up an older set of Scorpions for $250 shipped..I LOVE em!!!!
