New Rider

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to start out by saying thanks for all the awesome posts!

I just purchased a brand spanking new 08 Black FZ6 and I must say, I love it. I come from a Harley family, so needless to say I am the odd ball. I have always loved the looks of a street bike and the comfort of a cruiser, and I must say with the FZ6 i found the best of both worlds. I have my PUIG racing screen on the way, figuring it would be the best after reading all the threads. I am 6'2 so hopefully it helps with the wind.

I live up in North Dakota so I have only been able to put 200 miles on it, weather is still kind of crappy.

The other thing I am impressed with is the comfort of the passenger seat. I have taken my girlfriend out on a couple of rides and she loves it, which is always a plus.

Just wanted to introduce myself and looking forward to being on the site!

Welcome to the Forum! Good choice on the FZ6 and the Puig windscreen, I have one and love it.

Post pics when you get a chance, I dig the look of the Black FZs...

I have both the windscreen and frame sliders on order. Hopefully they will get here sometime this week

Yeah. I want to Stealth it up as much as I can. I am trying to find a place up here that powder coats. First on my list to powder coat is the radiator guards.

Do you think spray paint would stick?

hey Welcome! Great bike, I guess black is almost as fast a blue, but not really!

MadMan used spray paint for his rad-guards. I don't remember which brand but it is working very well for him.

I'm 6'5". The Puig racing screen makes 80 feel like 40. :thumbup: (Literally!)
