SBN = Sportbike net. If you want the latest go to Bad Weather Bikers.

As Wavex said you are good for 10 years on parts and support. The key with this bike is a good mechanic that listens. Can be hard to find.

All of the parts are from major MFGs, Bosch, Beru, Showa, etc, etc. So no problem there.

The '08s are very cheap, but buy an '09 and be happy. The updates are worth the extra cost; fuel injectors, updated ECM mapping, rear stand spools, speedo, repositioned O2 sensors, clutch slave, more powerful stator, softer springs (trust me, this is a good thing!), updated front brake line routing, frame insulation, black frame and swing arm and the motor is typically considered quieter.

Jump in a join the fun! It's only money! :D

Can't wait till I get to pick it up, but it is October in WI so riding season is really close to the end. I paid $6200 OTD for the bike and thats with two sets of handle bars. That is more than most of the places down south but still really cheap for what I got. My only real changes I want to make to the bike are removing the rear passenger foot pegs and would like to get a better exhaust, but that will have to wait awhile. I'll post more pictures when it comes.

Looks great! The passenger peg mount simply bolt right off, 6mm or 8mm allen bolts.

What do you think of the power so far?

Wow 50% off is insane... i wonder if that deal is added on to the deployed military discount ??? id get a buell for free practically

:Flash: Congratulations! I'm going to take a little ride right now and check them out just to see what's happening. Saw the dealer the other day and was going to stop in but got sidetracked and like Pete said get the updates.

You are going to love your Buell!

Dunno, may as well ask.

I ordered mine from Kuwait and ended up canceling the order because the delivery date kept changing. So I bought the FZ.

The problem is you can't choose the dealer, only a dealer in your area who is part of the overseas sales program. Your order is based on what allocations that dealer has with the factory; which in turn determines your delivery date.

I live in Austin, I had to go to the San Antonio dealer. The SA dealer hadn't many orders so my date kept moving, Dec, Jan, Mar, June... That and I visited them and they didn't have a SINGLE Buell in stock. That sealed the deal and I canceled the order. Two weeks later I had the Fizz.

The power of the bike feels great, it's always there in any gear. I can't wait till I really get to open it up after the break in miles are up. With the lightning bars on the bike it has the same seating position as the fz6. The big difference is in the weight. The cr feels much lighter going into corners, and doesn't take as much effort (although my fz6 steering head bearings are going). The clutch is also smoother on the cr. To me the fz6 has better breaking but that could change when the new pads are broke in. It's still a rev happy bike like the fz6 so it should be lots of fun.

Are you going to keep the clubman bars? :)

I'm going to put them on come spring (march) and use them for a bit to see which bars I like better. If I don't like the clubman bars you will be the first to know. Also the dealer I bought the bike from has two sets of the clubman bars in stock yet (they changed all three crs they had to the lightning bars) they might give you a deal if you give them a call.
