New Leo Vince question

Just wondering if anybody has the New Evo II installed ? I just installed a set and there is a small rubber gromet under each pipe is that where I have to reach the nut or bolt for the DB Killers to be removed??? Thanks

I tried pulling it out with my fingers but it is in there pretty tight,was afraid if i got it out I wouldn't be able to get it back in..... Thanks
