believe it or not they still let a lot of light out .the camera flash is far brighter than low beam on the bike plus im in a poorly lit garage.all adding to them looking so dark.

+1 to this! I bought a Powerbronze in light tint for my last bike and the fit was totally crap! It's still in my garage somewhere. They give you really rubbish fittings for it too that make it stick out about half a cm!

Although it did make the lights look darker from the outside when off, when they were on it didn't seem to make any difference.

Sounds fair, - might be a production flaw that they will correct.

Aboslutley!! and at a decent price too!..im always wary of aftermarket plastics tho
but it always looks good in their website i think you would easilly get away with a single light type cover..its just the dimensions on these have to be so presice ,plus you need the concave ..i think i would be lucky to get one perfect pair in 100..but we will see

Joker, I highly recommend that you don't go with the Powerbronze bellypan. I had one and they're crap. It's a two-piece design and basically looks like the bow of a ship from the front where it sticks out so far on the sides. Also, it's a PITA to mount, as each of the 4 bolts has it's own bracket that you have to get just right for the holes to line up.

I'd recommend the Yamaha bellypan. I've had one on my '06 for the last year and it's amazing the difference between it and the Powerbronze one. It's a one-piece design, and there are only two brackets that you have to mount to the engine, but those two brackets have 2 mounting points apiece for the 4 bolts that hold the bellypan on. Trust me, it's a much more stout piece, fits much more snugly to the engine and fits the bike much better.

Now, for the reason I was originally going to post in this thread. I bought a set of headlight covers from EVL Plastics: High Quality Motorcycle Headlight Protectors and had them shipped across the pond to Kentucky. I thought it would look pretty cool (and it does) but I took them off about a week after putting them on (with velcro) because I didn't like the idea of cutting down the light output from my front end.

That being said, I understand what Gilo is talking about when it comes to fitment. The Evl ones I got are very quality pieces...thick plastic, well made...and the shape fit the headlight right...but once you mount them with velcro, they are raised off the front of the headlight a bit and honestly, I worry about the flying off at speed. I just didn't like the combination of cutting down the light output, having something shooting up over the front end at me, and worrying about it. As I said, I took them off and they're in a drawer somewhere now.

I have the Power-Bronze belly pan and thought that the mountion was a breeze, and as far as the 2 pc meeting in the middleon the front side looked horrible, i went to a local body shop, had them bondo it and had them painted it it it looks great.

ok ..time to eat humble pie..i was originally testing them flush mounted..with the sticky pads they are an almost perfect fit..i did take some pics but was shooting straight into the sun..here's the best one
