New bike and looking for good sites for parts?

Hey everyone, im new here and just got the bike and found this forum and seen a lot of nice clean, done bikes here and was wondering if some people could help me find a few sites for parts, like exhaust,windy, sliders for the front forks and rear swing-arm, and other odds and end, from gear and helmets to anything at all would be a great help. I got my tank protector, main frame sliders, plain jane helmet, and textile jacket, but looking for some nice, lighter, better quality gear. Thanks all help would be greatly appreciated.:thumbup:

I don't rely on one specific site for anything because prices vary so much. The first thing you should do is look at the bikes/parts for sale forum on here because there are some great deals. I got my Two Bros Carbon Fiber Exhaust for like $400, which goes for around $950.

For quality OEM (stock from yamaha) parts, use Motorcycle Parts, Motorcycle Accessories ? BikeBandit.com.

eBay is another great place for deals, there are tons of parts for our bikes on there and a lot of them are quality and have been reviewed here.

thanks, thats a great help, I picked up some new indicators already but wondering now if I can actually use them now, cause they area set of blue led's and and blue arrow led's so by rights and a bit. With a bit of research I came across a few sites that sell them. Then also that it is illegal but not sure if they are for here or not?, haha, so im not sure and around town here lately I see blue, green,white, every color under the sun for turning indicators haha.

Pretty much agree with Extremity, just check with the local vehicle authority to determine what is and is not legal and how far you are willing to go

Blue indicators are definitely illegal pretty much everywhere that I know of, but if you don't use them as running lights and ONLY have them for turn signals then I don't think you'll have much trouble, although the whole "flashing blue lights" thing will probably tick off picky cops. I'm also a fan of blue lighting, I have blue pod lights and am probably also going to get blue halos with my HIDs, but you are always risking the fact that you might have to spend twice the money when you buy an amber replacement after getting caught. Just determine if it's worth spending double if you DO have to remove them; if it is, go for it! Happy modding.

I got them from superbrightleds.com which was suggested to me by another forum member. They were around $5 each - they weren't the cheapest ones on the site because I wanted high light output, but I'm happy with them.

The installation isn't that bad as long as you aren't afraid to do a little drilling. The hardest part for me was getting the bike to a place where an electric drill can reach it - I live in an apartment complex and there are no outlets outside, so I literally had to ride the bike into my neighbor's downstairs apartment. That was fun! Anyways, it's really basic. Drill holes, pop the lights in, run some wire to wherever you want to pull power from (I used the license plate lights) and tuck the wires away. Done!
