After couple of months of efforts and research, I finally got a very low mile 2008 TW200 today.
For main purpose of this new toy is going to be "Long Relaxed Country Road Touring".
Hopely for this summer vacation.
I might need some farkles and update for my touring, or just none for now.

And TW means >> Trail Way (Off Road and Trails)
200 cc, single cylinder.
Air cooled, 5 speed.
78 MPG ;)

Most impressive of this toy is the Tires.
Rear: 180 (same as my FZ6 rear tire size)
Front: 130 (bigger than my FZ6 front tire size ... ha ha ha)

Here is the picture.

Stay tuned...^^;

Sounds like fun. I've thought about getting an enduro style bike because I live in the sticks. Those bikes seem like they would be a lot of fun on and off road.

Yesterday, I made guick oil change and test riding on Malibu Twisty and City/Highway.
My impression is 99 out of 100.
One (1) missing is the Speed ha ha ha.

As this new like used bike needed some break-in procedure for a thousand miles, so I made little bit carfule throttling.

Here is some verdict. (no dirt road yet, need to find some beginners trails to practice)
1. I could lean more degree than FZ6 >> believe it or not (130 front, 180 rear, and those are off road versions)
2. Very expectable throttle response.
3. Smooth throttling >> this I missed alot since I ride FZ6
4. Light weight, low center of gravity made me very comfort riding experiences against all the road types.
5. Max. speed so far, 72 mph (- 10%) it must be about 65 mph in reality.
6. I can put my both feet on the ground without any tiresome, very nice when riding in city lights.
7. AND, very fun riding...

I need to find some easy dirt road to practice, can't wait ride on the dirt.

:D

That's a nice motorcycle. I didn't realize Yamaha made stuff like that now days. I had a 1970 something Yamaha 250 enduro. Fun bike at the time. I then got a Yamaha YZ motocross bike. I know I have some pictures somewhere:confused: Have fun and ride safe.

YZ versions are totally for Off-Road riders ???
I have no experiences on the dirt yet, so this TW might be good beginning for me.

Thanks, safe riding and FUN RIDING..;)

These are cool bikes. There's a guy at work who commutes on a TW200 and the gas mileage is pretty impressive. Enjoy!

I had one for a while, it was a lot of fun in the dirt, would go just about any place you pointed it. I did go up 1 tooth on the front sprocket for a little better cruise on the highway, made it not quite as busy.
Here's a good site with lots of info--
Yamaha TW200 Trailway Discussion Forum

Have fun:thumbup:

Wow, great that there is other FZ riders with TW200 experiences.
Thanks for the link.

Yes, I also want to make some sproket size for the highway riding right after yesterday test riding.
It would go over 70, but it makes some annyoing engine vibration and noise.
And found that there are street friendly version of dual sports tires, which I want to try it asap. (very resonable price compare to the FZ6 tires... :D)

Yes, I checked real city/highway mpg today.
Gas capacity is 1.86 gal (reserve: 0.45 gal)

Can you believe it that I had to turn reserve switch during the today's commuting at the highway on speed 60 mph.....??? ha ha ha
I had same experiences with other bikes, so it didn't give me panic.

But remember that first time when I had same situation.......
It was great panic moments for me on the freeway/high speed.
Bike dies, no throttle response, bike slows down.......
What should I do...traffic comes behind fast!!! ha ha ha

So that was 100 mile trip meter.
This afternoon, I filled up 1.4 gal, trip meter was 104 miles.
So, 75 % highway mpg was 75 MPG for me.

Now, I need to test some low speed crusing MPG for touring purpose.
I hope much better mpg with lower speed crousing..

Thanks for the comments.
