My Gear Indicator Just Arrived !!!!!!!!!!

Yeah,it is a touch fiddly around the ecu.I unplugged mine so I could get at the wires easier, Then undo the tape that holds them all together. Then it was a lot easier.

Ozfazer, You were dead right, about my neutral light....every time i wash my bike, it starts glowing again for a couple of days till the moisture has evaporated, am guessing this wont be so much of a problem when the weather warms up again....have put my gear indicator on hold for now, as my missus is due to pop out our baby in the next day or so....very close.

Your's still doing the bizzo ok?

Woohoo ! Hope everything goes well for the bub mate , congratulations, make sure you let us all know what flavour you have ,lol
Glad that was the problem with your neutral light, mine does it too.The gear indicator still works fine and I have the diode just havent fitted it yet,the only thing with the indicator is you get a scrolling effect when you pull up at lights in gear, this is because it needs both revs and speed reading to work.

Well I finally fitted the diode in the neutral wire to stop the glowing,it's only been sitting in my bag for 6 weeks !..................slack I know. All good no more glowing.

Just a heads up for everyone with a gear indicator who has fitted the diode.

Mine started playing up a while back .The indicator would read ok,but when I stopped at lights and select neutral then back to 1st it wouldn't read, just said neutral all the time.
I reprogrammed,no change.
Checked all connections and re soldered and taped,no change.
So I removed the diode and presto ! all good again.
I don't think I will fit another one,not sure.
So if yours starts doing funny things and you have the diode fitted, check that first
