Thanks guys, yeah I got this one off ebay and the rep was in my home town so that was a bonus !
It works by measuring the pulse between the speedo and the tach, and yes I will be posting pics as soon as I get the chance to install it,hopefully this weekend but dont like my chances.
It cost $130,more than I wanted to pay...........but stuff it .......I just want one :D

it listens to the rev of the engine and monitors the position of the throttle...

actually how does it work? can you post pics of when you plug it in?

I assume it monitors vehicle speed and engine RPM. Combine those two and you can calculate the gear.

works a treat !
Installed it today, still need to solder the wires , dead easy to program too.
Will post some pics when I get a chance.............love it , every bike should have one. :cheer:

I sorta had it all worked out on mine, but the new exhaust has thrown that out the window... less revs for more speed now, I'm getting too old for this crap. Might have to get a gear indicator myself...lol

:)

Will do mate..............but you would think after 25 years of riding I could tell what gear I,m in ,lol

Thats what I was thinking.

I can always tell what gear I am in.

It seems to me that if something new comes out people just want to have it for their bike.

That is their choice and they are entitled to that.

Personally i would rather put the money in the gas kitty.
