MSF loves the FZ

The place I went had a red interceptor in the back, it was the instructors personal bike tho

That's awesome. My instructor road in on a FZ1, which is what got me interested in my FZ6.

When I took the ERC class in May of 2009, both of the instructors were quite pleased with the comfort and performance of my FZ6. Both guys lamented that not enough FZ series bikes come through their class when compared to Cruisers and Harleys. They said the FZ6 is an ideal "all-rounder" that combines attributes of a sportbike, a standard and a touring bike.

My instructors rode up on a Yamaha FJR 1300 while the other guy had a BMW sport touring bike (exact model unknown).

The MSF Organization only uses 250cc or less as training bikes for the Basic Rider's Course. If you were wondering about the intermediate class, that would be the Experienced Rider's Course which you would use your own bike. As instructors, we use our own bike during the Experienced Rider's Course, so yes, that would mean my Fizzer is used.

I just taught a BRC this weekend and one of the students had his eyes on the FZ6 for a while now. He was drooling over my bike. I told him about this Forum, wonder if he has joined? He is not a fan of the new FZ6R. And he was very dissapointed that the FZ6 is being discontinued. But I told him there are still plenty of '09's left and he could always buy a used one as well.

Hey Kenny, I pretty much convinced my girlfriend to take the MSF basic rider course. She's been riding on the back with me for a while and I took her to the dealer the other day and set her on a ninja 250. I think that did her in. Now she keeps talking about how she wants to learn to ride and ride a ninja and do track days!!! I am thinking about bringing her to where you are. And also have a nice 2 days in Vegas while we are there :rockon:
