I crash tested my Helite GP-Air airbag vest at the track this past Spring. 40-50mph lowside, a little slide with some rolling/tumbling. The vest operates perfectly, no damage to me, minimal scuffs to the vest. And I’m convinced it helped keep my fancy carbon helmet from contacting the pavement. Since then, I’ve been using the Helite Turtle vest for almost all my street rides.

The vests are expensive, but a drop in the bucket compared to the expenses associated with a serious neck or spine injury.
