Most dangerous/stupid thing you've EVER done on a motorcycle?? Be honest....

Truthfully....The most dangerous/stupid thing I've ever done on a bike was at age 15 w/girlfriend. We went out to her uncle's cattle ranch for some trail riding and wound up going skinny dipping. When it came time to dry off, she came up with the idea of riding nude and air drying (who was I to say no).....She was always a daring lass and decided to "tank ride" in front of me facing backward....Dangerous? Stupid?.....Do you have ANY idea how impossible it was for a 15 Y/O to focus in that environment? Here we are riding around in a knee high grass hay meadow with NO gear, nude.....It's a wonder I didn't drive us straight through a fence or into a tree.....Thinking back, the roads weren't really as far away as they seemed at the time....We could have caused a wreck on the county road as well LOL

Oh man! Not only was my story dangerous and stupid but it was LAME as well. I'd pick OkieDavid's story over mine any day:thumbup::rolleyes:

This was about 12 years ago. I had too much to drink and was absolutely wasted and drove home on my bike. At some point I fell asleep at some traffic lights ( i fell asleep on the bike and if your wondering if this is possible obviously it is) and was woken up by a car behind me. It was the most stupid, irresponsible thing I have ever done in my life...

i thought i was a better rider than i was one day and came into a set of corners one after the other too hot into the first one, miracle i didnt dump the bike and go flying into the grass. thats about the worst of it.

I had a very squidly moment last year showing off for J. we were almost home from a ride and I do this awesome stoppie in front of her, only she didn't expect it and was following me pretty close. she almost hit me and darn near dropped her bike because of me. then (going back 9 years) there was the time, I gave her, her first ride on a bike. I had my ZX9 and she was scared of motorcycles and I some how convinced her to go for a ride with me. we leave my house and the bike was on E so I pulled into a gas station and just as I'm lowering the kick stand she gets off the high side of the bike using me and the bike as a push off and my foot was to close to the bike so I had no leverage to hold it up and over we(me and the bike) went. I landed on my side and back and luckily was still holding the bars so the bike never hit the ground. I'm laying there holding the bike up and she just starts laughing(as she pulls her helmet back on) I get instantly pissed and start yelling at her "don't just stand there get this F-ing thing off me." which she didn't so I had to do this ballerina dance to get out from under the bike and pick it up with out dropping it.... then there was this time... in big bear, I was going to go on a group ride with some Buddy's and she wanted to go. only she used to be the worst passenger( counter leaning in corners, turtle F-ing me every time I braked or shifted) so anyways I told her NO you can't go, and she was all sad, so she kept asking me. so I tell her, lets go for a ride around are house, I'm going to try and scare the crap out of you, if you do anything stupid you can't go. she was the perfect passenger( only later did she tell me she had her eyes closed most of the ride) so were riding big bear, we are on the 18 on the north side of the lake when we (the group) decide to pull off into one of those dirt turn outs. I was a little hot pulling off the road and slid a little. I just about had the bike recovered when (the second time she did this to me)she jumps off the high side (once again using me as a push point) and once again down we go. luckily for me the bike (1980 Yamaha XS850 special) had crash bars on it so it never hit the ground. and then there was the time...

just kidding thats it for me. :D:squid:
:rof: :rof: I still laugh to this day!!!! I guess I should feel bad, but I don't. LMAO!!!!!!

Hmm...well, it wasn't on a bike. But it only had one wheel, so that makes it better than a bike, right?

I was 18 and out in Driggs, Idaho flying sailplanes. I'd soloed the day before and I had done at least ten hops that day. I was feeling pretty confident. And in an 18 year old male, that's a bad thing. It always leads to trouble.

I was flying one of the airport's two Blanik L-13's. They look like this.

I was coming in for a landing from the northeast. There were storms approaching, so I'd already decided it was time to get on the ground and tie down the aircraft.

Here's a section of the runway. The second L-13 was already tied down in the gravel where the taxiway and the runway meet.
driggs, idaho - Google Maps

I touched down and was rolling along happily on the sailplane's single wheel (very fun, it's like flying on the ground.) and thought,"I really don't want to push this beast to the tiedowns. I bet I've got enough speed to make it."

Well, I did. I coasted up on the left side of the other L-13, which was tied with its left wing up and right wing down. As I came to a stop I used the ailerons to bank my aircraft and at the same time used the brakes. I came to a stop perfectly positioned. My right wing came down and I was stopped. Perfection itself!

The ground crew came out and the owner of the sailplanes was with them. He looked at the aircraft, and looked at me and asked,"How did you get the airplane there?"

"I stopped short of the tiedowns and then pushed it in while you were coming out in the truck." I replied.

Anyway, as to why this was stupid...

Airplane parts aren't cheap. I could have easily gotten too close and failed to drop the right wing. All it would have taken was a gust of wind from my right side. Had that wing gone up, I would have done major damage to two sailplanes. And a lot of those parts can't be had anymore, or must be custom made.

As for the most dangerous thing I've done on a motorcycle, I'd say trying to wheelie a K75. Every rotating part in that bike's drivetrain runs lengthwise. Front wheel goes up, and the torque sends the whole bike sideways. Not good at all, and I almost wrecked it.

I was passing a couple cars when a car from a side road pulls ahead of us coming towards us I open it up to get around, I hit 123 when I hit a dip in the road and got airborne. That was a BUTT PUCKER of a ride!

I was riding with a buddy when I was about 22. Me on my 600 Ninja and him on GsXR 750 we were just cruising around the backroads near the house no helmets, no gear just jeans, gloves, t-shirts and boots. We pull up at a red light and car with bunch of kids in backseat pulls up beside us and you know how kids are yelling rev it up, wheelie, race etc. I should have known better as that road has a funky crest to it but wasn't thinking. Light turned green and my bud just dumped clutch and took off. I did the same but popped it up into a wheelie which was a little higher than I expected like darn near verticle had it stabilized and going good before I noticed that crest was causing me to drift toward the curb like a foot away at this point. I jammed the rear brake and slammed the front down and just managed to turn out of the curb before crashing. Kids thought it was great but scared me half to death.

When I was 16 I used to ride my Honda 150 while standing on the seat with my hands by my side. Hands not touching the bars. I guess the stupidest part about it was that before I did it I took my helment off so the wind didn't get in it and pull me off balance I was going abut 50. I never had any problems doing it.:mikebike:

Sh*t! Stupid stuff??? My life has been a serires of stupid/dangerous events! I've done so many I've forgotten most of them. Jumping off a 50' drop off on skiis, over and over again. Riding an RD400 as fast as I could on 10 year old tires, pushing though tank slappers on my GS1100 at 120 mph (when in doubt gas it!), riding my bicycle in the rain at 45mph on a decent in a roadrace, racing my bicycle with 200 of my closest friends in a criterium, racing a motorcycle at night (Phoenix - the only time cool enough to ride in the summer) up to 145 mph - crashing high side and spending 2 weeks in the hospital, decenting a fire road on my mountain bike at 35 mph, going OTB (over the bars - and pulling both groin muscles), trying to stick a 720 on skiis - crashing and pulling my back muscles (in bed for 7 days), telemark skiing 4 months after knee reconstruction, getting shot at, rocketed at, mortored at, and IED'd at. But the worst, the very worst is I-35 in Austin during Friday rush hour!!! Ho-Lee CRAP!

Just riding on some streets should be reason enough to have someone committed.

Dumbest thing on a....

Motorcycle: Rode 100+ mph with tennis shoes, shorts and a t-shirt.:squid:

4wheeler: First time riding I was in a field and rode across the street into a brick buildings window. Basically cut the top of my right hand off. i have a huge smiley face scar now. Cut all 4 tendons, all the veins, etc. broke my kneecap and shin, twisted acl and mcl.

Man, you need to throttle back juuuuust a littttlle bit. And the I-35 rush hour traffic do suck, been there. About as bad as I-10 here in Houston.

It was really hot the other day (93 with 85% humidity) I was in stop n go traffic. I took off my jacket and put it in my backpack.
