More impressive comeback- Rossi or Edwards?

Since last race's miracle podium by Edwards last week, it got me debating on who had the more impressive comeback, Edwards at Silverstone or Rossi last season at Sachsenring.

Arguments for Rossi: The compound fractured tibia is a more serious injury when it comes down to it. He surprised everyone by racing again just 41 days afterwards in Sachsenring finishing in 4th place, resulting in a Laureus award for comeback of the year in sports.

Arguments for Edwards: He is five years older than Rossi, and its pretty well known that age has a lot to do with how fast the body recovers. Unlike Rossi, who missed three races, he only missed one and actually landed on the podium. Also, lets not forget that Edwards is on a satellite bike, whereas Rossi jumped back onto the best bike on the grid.

Im leaning towards Edwards, but both were incredible to witness :thumbup:

You will get one or two positive responses about Rossi and the rest will be irrational vitriole so don't expect to glean anything useful.

Personally I think Edwards' Silverstone comeback and result and Crutchlow this weekend were pretty remarkable.

I vote Edwards hands down... age+injury+bike+podium+time= Awesome!

Plus chance of re-injury for a collarbone is greater than tib-fib imo.

Rossi gets honorable mention...

I'd have to say Colin for all the reasons mentioned. He still tried to 'trick' them in to letting him race the next day

Still though, blows me away that Rossi was back racing only 41 days after that very nasty injury.
