Holy crap! I never knew they got that big! Used to always see them in the river when I was a kid but they were about a foot long at most. They would swim by at the top of the water so you could easily see them. This was only a few miles up river from the ocean in brackish water.

My ex community of datnoids.. gave in to the temptation and sold them off due to favourable market demands..kinda miss 'em

I have a few fish but they are pretty small right now.
Bala sharks ive been told will get to 12-15 inches
and tiger barbs

cool!! dont you just love staring at them swim and eat..it relieves off stress

New additions:

Just added 2 silver arowanas of 9 Inch

My bigger RTG started hammering the smaller one ,hopefully with the new silvers, the aggression will spread

Thinking of a new project.

To let go all of my monsters and start an altulm angels community.

Themne of the tank would be amazonian. What u guys think?

Did the amazonian set up but did not get the altum angels..

Instead, got myself some discus, a psedua pleco, a barb and a school of tetras..will post pictures soon

farish - i used to keep Discus too, a few years ago. I had about 30-40 Cardinal Tetra's, a few small pleco's [bottom feeders] and eight Discus in a 90 gallon tank.

I found that the plecs would grow way too quick on all the left over beef-heart i was feeding the discus. Mind you, they were really good at cleaning the bottom of a bare bottom tank

It got to a point where i was quarantining baby cat fish every six weeks or so, cause they would stop feeding on algae on the glass and start upsetting my prize possessions - they would start getting all territorial...

I see if i can dig out some pics... and post em up.

Awesome thread btw, Fish keeping has always been a favorite of mines...

OK, I don't have any monster fish for sure, but I do have a pretty nice freshwater planted tank. Let me know what you guys think!
