Modifying stock FZ6 Exhaust???

Has anyone modified their stock FZ6 (04-08) exhaust for better sound? I would love to improve the sound of this thing without dropping a grand. The FZ6R guys are doing it (see their thread); what about us???

yeah, it's been done on here too...just use the search engine here and u'll end up finding it... type in "stock exhaust mod"

Tried that, and got 20 pages of threads. I was hoping for a more definitive response. Can anyone else give me a hand???

I cut the top off the stock exhaust and removed the chambers and pipes inside. then i welded in a perforated y-pipe to connect the one inlet to the two outlets. then i put exhaust packing all around inside and welded the top back on.

when you use the search engine be sure to select "search titles only" not all the threads. this will increase your chances of finding usefull information. i posted pictures on another post. can't locate them on my computer right now to attach them to this one

there are write-ups for the drilled exhaust in the mods area.. your just going to have to take your time and look for it.
