minimum of a 2 week wait!!!!!!

sent my bike to the dealer last week for a cooling fan failure, and just found out it is going to be a minimum of 2 weeks before the parts even get there!!!the cooling fan is backordered, and that is not good!!!!!!!!!
I went back to my selling dealer and he is going to take a fan out of an instock FZ6 to get me on the road!!!!Now that is service "Daytona Motorsports" in vancouver great people there!!!!!!!!:rockon::thumbup:and to yamaha canada for not haveing the parts that i need:Flip::spank:

ya if two weeks was going to be the case, its a minimum of two it could be a month or when ever they decide to ship the fan from Japan, totally agree, an overheated engine would suck but that does not have to be the case with the good guys at "Daytona Motorsports"!!!!

just curious, did a rock or pebble get lodged in between the fan and the radiator?

i cant get my head around this. the fan is so close behind the rad. and the rad fins are so small how does a pebble large enough to get stuck there in the first place?

Dont know what caused the cooling fan to burn out, if it were a pebble or small stone it may have fell lose, the whole thing is strange, I am going to be a little more vigilant in inspecting my bike though, before and after my rides, even if i just give the fan a quick spin when i am done to make sure it is free and clear(not while its on of course)and that same day the fan quit I also recieved an unwanted nail in my tire that was a bad day!!!
but everything is looking up from here!!!!off to the dealer to get this sorted out this morning!!!!!!!!I will just have to do 90mph to keep the engine cool LOL!!!!!
