Michigan helmet law on the verge of being repealed

I have a buddy who rides a cruiser and refuses to wear a helmet now. He doesn't give me crap for always riding with all my gear so I have a hard time telling him he should wear a helmet. To be honest it makes me nervous to ride with him because of it.
