Hey guys,
Went out riding Sunday morning with a group. Good group of guys, the ride was awesome...BUT
In the first big right hand turn on Las Flores coming up from PCH, BE CAREFUL OF A DIRT PATCH.
It apparently is ALWAYS there, but I didn't know. The guy in front of me swerved leaving me seeing a fat sand/dirt patch while turning on my line. I nailed it full on, both wheels slid, but it happened so fast I didn't have time to react any other way than to ride through it.
**The guys later told me (from dirt riding experience) to NOT chop the throttle or brake in that situation, which is probably why I was able to keep the bike up.
anyways, until you get away from the houses on the bottom of the canyon, go slow and keep an eye out!
