M4 Exhaust

So has anyone got one of these? Or know any suppliers in NSW or Australia?
I've been having alot of trouble trying to find dealers with anything approaching a good selection of FZ6 exhausts without leaving the country (and adding anything from 100-200 USD to the price) they all seem to focus on one specific brand with the exclusion of everything else, particularly for FZ6's

Also all the dealers I have talked to have been mainly bluster and haven't been able to give me any set in stone details on prices and availability, which just annoys me
I've had people telling me that they are 100% sure they have FZ6 exhausts only to come back with R6 exhausts, or options for FZ1's or other bikes.... (even at Yamaha dealers :ban: )

My second choice atm is the Two Bro's but they are slightly more expensive, and I don't like the sound (from all the youtube vids anyway) as much.
Any opinions?

We don't get a lot to choose from down here (unfortunately).

With the Aussie $$ going up against the green-back, probably not a bad time to import a set. Find something you like, and order it from the states.

The 2 bros pipes are really nice, as are the Leo Vince. Check out one of the vendors that use this site... CycleSector, I seem to remember them saying they are going to be doing a special for us on the 2 Bros pipes.

Yea I've only been able to find a pair of Yoshi's in a warehouse in Syd for 900$ and I've heard they are whiney and not the best choice (definately not what I'm looking for)

The dollar is good atm and if I can keep the purchase under $1000 I don't pay for importing duties!

Checked out that seller, they don't seem to realise Yamaha even produces a FZ6 let alone stock anything for one, which is a bit strange if they support the site

Couldn't find anything about M4 going bust, but then its hard enough to find anyone selling them!

the Two bros are the recommended pipes for the FZ6.

Akrophic (sp?) are the general rule for Yamahas tho, but dont seem to support the undertail options for fz6's.

Also, if you didnt want a whiney bike? why did you get an inline 4?

I've actually put an offer to a site for a M4 exhaust, but it was a low offer and I'm stilling waiting for a reply, certainly not holding my breath, but with buying from the US its about 75$-100$ shipping which means a really competitive price suddenly gets anything from 10-20% of the price added, still cheaper than buying here, but I really want to stick to my budget even if I have to wait

There is a seller on EBAY, Hobartcycles in US. He has Scorpion S/S and C/F at very good prices. I was quoted AUS$1399 last week in Perth for a dealer to bring in Scorpion Carbon Fibre slip-ons from the Eastern States. Ended up buying them on ebay, brand new, @ AUS$800.00 delivered. My husband had S/S Scorpions on his old SP-1 and they sounded great. Hopefully mine will sound even better!

On Mat Mladins website you can get a set of Yoshi Stainless for FZ6 for around $900, and that's buying local and believe delivery is included.

Akra do a twin undertail set (which is the way im leaning), local dealer priced me approx $1,500! But I do believe they are a Ti set.

Arrow do make a very pretty set in both Stainless & Ti, but haven't looked hard enough at these for a price.

From what I've seen I can get a instock pair of Yoshi's reduced to 900 locally, but its not my 5th choice let alone my first
I've seen some good deals on the Arrows too, but can't say they are top of my list either.
Also seen lots of good deals on the Scorps, so keeping that in mind but really hanging out to try and get a good deal on the M4's.

The price of exhausts here is really rediculous, I mean the dealers could be buying the exhausts on ebay and making at least 50% profit for what they charge.

A mate reckons he saw one at Coast Yamaha awhile back without the exhaust under the seat?

If you havent heard of it....maybe someone hear knows a guy at Coast?

If its the same engine as an R6 then is it possible to use the R6 exhaust?

The new XJ6 Diversion has the underslung exhaust.

If its the same engine as an R6 then is it possible to use the R6 exhaust?

If you get the header pipes too, should be possible.

Well, she was going to get traded on a Speedy, then changed my mind with house etc. Had an incident a few weeks ago where my licence nearly went bye bye, so have been thing again about getting something else to protect the licence (been out looking this morning at trail bikes & motards). Suggestion from a dealer on the sort of bike that would suit for my sort of riding? Not just a Motard, but a Super Motard!

Well it looks like I may be the proud new owner of a M4 exhaust, will know within the next week or two on whether it goes through or not (fingers crossed). If so I'm going to be one very excited rider!

Nice work. I was gonna suggest John Warrian. He is a M4 dealer based in QLD. Let us know how you go. I was thinking of an M4 myself :thumbup:
