Looked at a bike for the wife.

The wife and I took a 30 minute ride down to look at a '07 Ninja 250 for her. Didn't know until we got there that it had been layed down and needed some work on the handlebar and fork. The pictures on Craigslist looked really nice but I don't think I want to pay $2000 for it.

For 2000 you can buy pretty good looking bikes. Mileage is overrated, I bought my bmw at 48000km's, my fz1 at 47000, they both were great bikes when I bought them.

Yeah, good call. I know my sister-in-law got a 2007 Ninja in great shape for $1700. We had to drive 5 hours to get it, but U-Haul motorcycle trailers are cheap to rent, and the Ninja goes in them oh so well

I sold my wife's 2008 250R a couple of weeks ago for $2800. But it was in perfect condition and had only 2.5k miles.

Great first bike.
