I look forward to electric transportation. The current problem (pun!) are lithium batteries. It is a more finite source than crude oil, is sourced from limited locations, it's expensive, and the mining and processing is not clean or environmentally friendly. We need the next generation of power storage (solid state, ultra-caps...whatever) that can break us away from lithium. Until then, electric transportation will be for the wealthy.
