In light of the difficult times I think as close as it seems our forum is we might be able to help one another.

I think we should all be on the look out for jobs and if we see something maybe we can post it so we can have a heads up. With me being in the military this doesn't reall effect me right now (it will in a few years when I get out).

So, posting your profession (if you wish and you're looking for employment) will give people an idea and if they here something, well, you get the idea.

Great Idea my brother in arms. I am military also and have less than 3 years to retire. In which I have no clue what I will be doing for work. All I know is military and love it, but it's almost time to hang it up and get my life back with my family.

I know exactly what you mean. This next move (next month) will be my last military move. Then I'll retire to San Antonio (that's the current plan) and try to find a good job.

I've been an intelligence analyst my whole career. So, I'm hoping something good will be waiting for me.

Well I just made my last PCS to VA working in the Hoffman Complex in Alexandria, VA. I plan to retire in Florida where I bought a home. I am a Finance Tech dealing with Soldiers pay. So hopefully I can find something on Macdill AFB in Tampa.

I"m headed to Arlington at the end of June. I know the riding up there will be interesting.

I'm hoping San Antonio will give me many options for employment in my field. I'll do contractor work but I'd prefer the stability of government service.

Our paths will have to cross and we'll have to do some riding. I plan on taking in as many sites as I can when I get a chance to breake away from the family. I plan on getting a map (motorcycle tour type) to explore the areas outside the city.

Wow that is a good idea. I just graduated from college, and it would be nice if I could find a good job as well. My profession is aviation, and for all of the pilots out there, I am looking for a good 135 job. I am currently teaching in the Cirrus, and have just under 1200 hrs. If anyone hears anything I would greatly appreciate it, I'm willing to move wherever I need to.

I am not completely worried right now, I graduate from college in 3 years and my major is Finance. Right now I'm just looking for interships in Orlando.

School Counselor (aka guidance counselor) - Middle school or high school, but certified at all levels.

I will not move, so I am looking in central NH. I also have a BA in Psychology and can do things related to that. If you hear of anything, please let me know. So far, 6 applications out, 0 interviews in my future.

It’s very sad to read that you guys are going through such hard times. We in Africa have always regards America as the land of milk and honey. Although the situation here in Africa isn’t that bad, we are faced with other difficulties such a token appointments.

Our government encourages the development of the previously disadvantaged, so it is very difficult for an educated Caucasian male to find work or run an honest business.

Fortunately I am employed by a Dutch Company and they aren’t to affected by politics. We provide a large amount of funding and expertise to community development programs such as water and electricity for all.

Hopefully the Tsunami has passed and you only have to ride out the rough seas.

We are always looking for engineers, so if Africa appeals to you PM me and I can put you in touch with our HR Department.

I am an Electronics Engineer with over 20 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience. 17+ years of Surface Mount Process support and development experience. I currently live in Indiana but would consider relocating to the South, Southeast, Southwest areas.
