Being a beautiful afternoon I decided to leave work a little early yesterday and go for a nice ride. I really don't get a chance to ride very often due to my schedule and my wifes work schedule plus having a 2 year old to keep busy. I went down by the Columbia river in SE Wash. Sorry for the crappy pics but all I had was my cellphone. In the background of the first pic is Rattlesnake Mtn. which is the largest treeless mtn in the US. The other pics are just different views of the river.

Funny, I did the same thing this week, only I pushed it to 3 days (Mon, Tues, Wed). However, I don't get the nice scenery that you do. Got to love those early days.

Nice shots, and it looks like a beautiful place to ride!

Any idea why the mountain has no trees on it?

This area of the state is almost desert like, very dry and few trees anywhere, kinda sucks, have to go to the wet(west) side to really get the beautiful scenery.
